1. What is the difference between the Affordable Doctor Appointment program and Health Insurance?
Tampa Heights Medical Center is a direct provider of primary care medical services.  Its current medical director Dr. Faith Felder an internal medicine physician  has been treating adult patients in the Tampa Bay area for over 13 years. There are no health requirements to join this discounted office visit program.  Depending on the option you select you will be entitled to visit Tampa Heights Medical Center for up to 6, 9 or 12 visits. Visits are in the office only and do not include hospital visits or being seen by specialists.

2.) What are some of the common medical services I can be seen for after joining the Affordable Doctor Appointments program?
Tampa Heights Medical Center is a primary care medical practice,  as such we treat adult patients presenting with a wide variety of illnesses including but not limited to: upper respiratory infections (sinusitis, bronchitis), hypertension and diabetes

3.) Once I join can I transfer my Affordable Doctor Appointments plan to another primary care doctor’s office?
No. The Affordable Doctor Appointments  program  was created exclusively for Tampa Heights Medical Center and its physicians.   The program offers  primary care services for patients being seen at Dr. Felder’s Tampa Florida office only. It is not valid at any other primary or specialist office or hospitals.

4.) I have traditional health insurance.  Can I still see Dr. Faith at Tampa Heights Medical Center?
Yes.  At Tampa Heights Medical Center we accept a wide variety of health insurance plans. Please visit our insurance patient page to view our list of insurers or call the office at 813 874-2642 to determine whether we accept your plan. We also accept cash and credit card payments.  Unfortunately at this time we do not take personal checks.

5.) Why was the Affordable Doctor Appointments Program created?
During the past 18 months several long term  patients lost their jobs and hence their insurance. We launched the Affordable Doctor Appointments program as a low cost affordable solution for
those patients who were in need of primary care treatment who did not have or could not afford insurance but needed to see the doctor.
